Julia is a 25 year old Bulgarian-American artist from Washington DC.

As a self-taught artist, Julia has been creating artwork since before she can remember. Her art primarily depicts female figures and integrates them into surreal environments, frequently featuring bright colors and bold lines. She has previously been recognized for her work, receiving a Gold Key from the regional Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, as well as the Award for Excellence in the Arts presented at Washington DC’s Kennedy Center by The National Society of Arts and Letters.

Julia’s art spans a wide breadth of mediums: acrylic paint, oil paint, colored pencil, graphite, pen, and, recently, digital. All of her art is produced in her free time, and she describes her artistic experience as both cathartic and meditative.

She graduated from the University of Michigan in 2021 and currently works in NYC.
